BASE Awards 2018

Title

After a rarely rivalled number of entries and following much deliberation from our esteemed panel of judges, BASE is delighted to announce the shortlist for the 2018 BASE Awards.

Now in its 38th year, the 2018 BASE Awards saw its broadest ever range of entries, with 42 sector-spanning organisations stepping forward with Awards submissions. This renewed vigour was matched by a revitalised judging line-up, the ability for entrants to make multiple submissions and a host of brand new categories; all conspiring to increase anticipation ahead of the event the entire industry knows and loves.

Two of the new awards, Creative Marketing Initiative of the Year and Campaign of the Year for Catalogue: Digital Product, recognise the innovation, exceptional creative success and significant transformation that has been seen in the category over the past 12 months. At the same time, this year’s awards also place renewed focus on the contribution made to the category by retailers, as evidenced by the enhanced list of retail awards, including: Physical, Digital and Online Retailer gongs, separate Digital and Physical Retailer Innovation of the Year awards and an award for In-Store Theatre Initiative of the Year.

Judged by a panel of 30 independent and expert adjudicators, this year’s Awards consists of 22 categories and sees a number of entrants, such as Dogwoof, Google Play and Morrisons, enjoying their first appearance on the shortlist. All of this year’s winners will be announced at the awards ceremony taking place at Tobacco Dock on Thursday 7th June.
