Help BASE and DEGI Support Vulnerable Children this Christmas

BASE & DEGI are incredibly proud to Partner with Hounslow Borough Council at the BASE/DEGI Annual Wrap Up and Industry Outlook event on Tuesday 10th December. At this Wrap Up event, we’ll not only be wrapping up the year with friends and colleagues, but also wrapping gifts to be distributed to children within the Hounslow community.

As part of this collaboration, we’ve asked all BASE, DEGI and Industry Trust Members to please donate their new film and TV merchandise for those supported by the council’s vital work: children who are asylum seekers, refugees, and among the most vulnerable in our community. Our hope is that as many of these children as possible, many of whom are living in contingency hotels or receiving support from the domestic abuse team, will receive a gift this holiday season.

Councillor Samia Chaudhary, Cabinet Member for Education, Children, Skills, and Employment, said, “I’m delighted to see the generous number of donations from BASE. These gifts, including merchandise from the latest films, will be given to some of the most vulnerable children in the borough that we support. This will hopefully bring a smile to the newest members of our community.”

Please help us make that possible. We are seeking donations of new, appropriate gifts for children aged 2-12. Your contribution—whether from your studio, brand, or other collection—which will go directly to these children following the event.

How to Contribute: let us know what you plan to donate and the quantity, no later than 26th November, by emailing [email protected] who will be able to share logistics and timings for donations.

Thank you to our community for your support and generosity, for children who will really need it this Christmas.
