ReThink TV joins the British Association for Screen Entertainment and DEGI: The Digital Entertainment Group International

Rethink TV has become the newest hybrid member of the British Association for Screen Entertainment (BASE) and DEGI: The Digital Entertainment Group International, effective immediately.

They join one hundred-plus organisations in the thriving BASE and DEGI member and partner community at an exciting time of growth and success for UK and International entertainment.

This announcement follows Rethink TV’s debut as a speaker at the DEGI Roadshow 2024 in London. At the event, attendees were briefed on the firm’s latest insights into social media video versus traditional ‘premium’ long-form video. Using five-year models, Rethink TV demonstrated how long-form video, whether linear or OTT, is set to lose ground to social media in terms of users, watch time, and advertising revenue.

BASE and DEGI members will gain exclusive access to two of Rethink TV’s reports: “The Unstoppable Rise of Social Media Video – Market Forecast 2023-2028” and “AVoD Forecast to 2029 – $546 Billion AVoD Boom Led by Subscription Tiers”. Additionally, members will also benefit from future analyst presentations at in-person events. These insights aim to enable BASE and DEGI members to adapt to the evolving media landscape, develop effective strategies, and optimise capital and operational expenditures.

Rafi Cohen, Analyst at Rethink TV said: “Rethink TV is absolutely chuffed to be offering insights to BASE and DEGI members. My time at the DEGI Roadshow in London demonstrated the hunger for clear, actionable data that make sense of an increasingly fragmented and chaotic video distribution ecosystem. Preparing for the death of linear is far from the full story, and Rethink TV is ready to guide the way.”

Liz Bales, Chief Executive at BASE & DEGI added: “New memberships, such as those with Rethink TV, offer immense value to our existing partners by providing exclusive insights and a comprehensive view of the current media landscape. At BASE and DEGI, our goal is continually enhancing our value offering, ensuring our members receive actionable insights and a complete perspective to navigate and thrive in the evolving media environment.”

BASE membership provides exclusive benefits, including discounted tickets for the upcoming BASE Awards on 25th September 2024 at The Camden Roundhouse.
