The British Association for Screen Entertainment is incredibly excited and proud to announce Eddie Izzard as the special guest at the BASE Insight Forum, taking place on 16th March in central London. Eddie Izzard will be interviewed by ex Virgin, Polygram and Universal Pictures Executive Johnny Fewings. Izzard is one of the most celebrated comics of his generation and has an equally stellar reputation as a film, television and stage actor.
Izzard is currently touring the globe on his stand-up comedy tour, Force Majeure and he will next be seen on the big screen in Lionsgate’s animated movie, Rock Dog, as a famous cat rock star, Angus Scattergood. Highlights from Izzard’s film career include Boychoir, Valkyrie, Ocean’s Thirteen and Ocean’s Twelve, Across the Universe, Mystery Men, Shadow of the Vampire and The Cat’s Meow.
Special guest Eddie Izzard will be joining the BASE Insight Forum to discuss his illustrious career; spanning over 25 years and ranging from stand-up comedy, TV, stage, film, politics and an iconic approach to charity with his phenomenal marathon regime. Eddie’s stand-up comedy releases have sold over a staggering 4,000,000 units in the UK alone.
Once again the BASE Insight Forum is geared up to bring delegates a packed agenda which will see a host of high profile industry experts bringing to the fore opportunities and innovations to drive audience engagement and category growth. The BASE Insight Forum 2017 is a morning event from 08.30am – 1:30pm bringing together over 300 category executives from across distribution, retail and digital platforms, plus a host of delegates from the broader supply chain. Further leading speakers appearing at the BASE Insight Forum will be announced over the coming weeks.
The BASE Insight Forum, supported by the Entertainment Retailers Association (ERA) will take place on Thursday, 16th March 2017 at Picturehouse Central in London. This event is free for BASE and ERA members but there will be a charge of £250 for non-members.
