Bella Ramsey, Este Haim, James Blunt and More Champion the Big Screen Experience for SUNNY DANCER in Newest Moments Worth Paying For Campaign

10th July 2026: Today, Moments Worth Paying For presents a special message from the cast and crew of True Brit Entertainment’s SUNNY DANCER ahead of its release in cinemas in the UK and Ireland on 14th August 2026.

The cast & crew appear in the video call-style message encouraging audiences to see the film first only in cinemas

In this new and exclusive content, director George Jaques enlists stars Bella Ramsey and Neil Patrick Harris and composer Este Haim to explain why the new British comedy-drama is best seen first on the big screen. Musician James Blunt, who has a cameo as himself in the film, also features, offering to lend his musical stylings to encourage audiences to head to their local cinemas.

The sophomore feature from British director George Jaques, SUNNY DANCER is a coming-of-age story following 17-year-old Ivy (Bella Ramsey) on her unwilling journey to a summer camp for kids affected by cancer. Ivy has a hard time adjusting to the rules, but as the weeks progress, she manages to find unexpected friends in an unlikely group of misfits and has a summer she’ll never forget at ‘Chemo Camp’.

Kate Willoughby, Head of Marketing & Publicity at True Brit Entertainment, said, “We’re thrilled to partner with The Industry Trust to commemorate the release of SUNNY DANCER in cinemas. As a proud advocate for independent British cinema, it’s been particularly special to assemble just some of the brilliant talent behind the film to showcase the importance of enjoying homegrown stories together. We can’t wait to see audiences join with friends, family or strangers to laugh, shed some tears, and experience the journey together.”

Sylvia Dick, Head of Partnerships and Marketing at The British Association for Screen Entertainment and The Industry Trust for IP Awareness, said: “We’re delighted to see SUNNY DANCER take centre stage in the latest Moments Worth Paying For campaign, reminding audiences that nothing beats the big screen. We’re grateful to the fantastic cast and crew for coming together to deliver an important message on the power of shared experiences, echoing the heart of the film. Thank you to True Brit for their support in making this happen, and to DCM, Pearl & Dean UK and Ireland, Bauer Media Outdoor, and members of the UK Cinema Association for their continued dedication to supporting our efforts to encourage and remind audiences that their local cinema is the only place to watch films first.”

Led by The Industry Trust for IP Awareness, Moments Worth Paying For is the UK’s flagship consumer initiative that celebrates the cinema experience. It features a multimedia campaign in cinemas, out of home, and online, partnering with new film releases and utilising exclusive talent to deliver an engaging message that reminds audiences that films are best experienced first on the big screen.

SUNNY DANCER is released in UK and Irish cinemas on 14th August 2026.
