Next-Gen Media joins the British Association for Screen Entertainment

Today, with immediate effect, Next-Gen Media becomes the newest member of the British Association for Screen Entertainment (BASE).

They join the flourishing BASE community, with over eighty-five organisations united in supporting and developing the UK Home Entertainment industry.

As a digital out-of-home (DOOH) organisation within the student market, Next-Gen Media promotes positive opportunities to enrich student life and operates as a sustainable and trustworthy partner for university accommodation providers, colleges and advertisers.  With a mission to create a responsible platform to change the way the world engages with students where they live and study, Next-Gen Media connects brands with young people in a trusted media environment.

By partnering with education and university accommodation providers, Next Gen Media has developed a growing portfolio of more than 370+ screens nationwide in high footfall and dwell time areas, engaging notoriously hard-to-reach audiences with over 850k daily impressions per campaign in more than 65 towns and cities across the UK.

BASE brings together creators, distributors, retailers, technology companies, digital service providers, agencies and audiences both locally and globally. BASE amplifies and informs, delivering insights and educational information to consumers to encourage category growth and, through our work with the Industry Trust, promote the value of copyright and creativity. The Industry Trust utilises out-of-home space to deliver these key messages to audiences, inspiring them to value great movie moments and choose to watch film, TV and video via legitimate sources.

Next-Gen Media is the latest in an expansive new cohort of BASE and DEGI Members, including Amazon Prime Video, Curzon, Futuresource Consulting, Kantar, MUBI, Official Charts Company, Omdia, Silk Factory, Vobile and WebKyte, reflecting the current landscape of exciting collaboration and growth in the Home Entertainment industry.

Guy Thurlow, Co-founder and Commercial Director at Next-Gen Media said: “We are delighted to join as a member of BASE to learn from the team and its wider membership. We aim to add value through our shared insights and ability to connect with younger audiences and demographics, aiding in engaging and testing messaging with these key and influential groups.”

Liz Bales, Chief Executive at British Association for Screen Entertainment said: “Informing and educating audiences is a key pillar of BASE and its members. Next-Gen Media’s expertise and focus on delivering tightly targeted messaging opportunities directly to new and future audiences and consumers enriches our community and helps strengthen our shared goals of category growth. I am delighted to welcome them to our community.”

BASE membership provides exclusive benefits, including access to Member Learning Sessions and the upcoming BASE & DEGI Home Entertainment Annual Wrap and Industry Outlook event on 10th December.
