LONDON, 22 April 2016: The shortlist for the 2016 British Association for Screen Entertainment Awards has today been announced.

The BASE Awards celebrate excellence across the video category and exist to shine a light on the skill and innovation in marketing and promotions across the industry, which go towards achieving the many successes that exist in this £2.24billion category.

The BASE Awards shortlist runs over 20 categories, each a reflection of the multi-channel mix and judged by a panel of 30 independent adjudicators where extensive experience across the audiovisual category was complimented from a multitude of sectors including, retail, media, technology and high profile agencies.  Finalising the shortlist came after a busy judging day, filled with in-depth debate.  The winners will be revealed at the awards ceremony, to be held at Tobacco Dock on Thursday, 9th June 2016.

Liz Bales, Chief Executive, British Association for Screen Entertainment, said: “We are thrilled to announce the shortlist for the 2016 BASE Awards, each year the standard of entries is astoundingly high and it’s consistently challenging to whittle down entries to a handful for the shortlist.  All entrants should be extremely proud of the work entered for the awards, it is testament to the skills and experience that drive the category forward.

Many thanks to all our judges for their expertise and professionalism in evaluating the entries, and for their valuable contribution and ongoing support.”
